Pearl’s Pleasurable Eatery
November 12, 2010
Pearl’s Pleasurable Eatery is the ultimate Caribbean comfort food joint of 5th street. Upon entering, you will most likely be greeted by the owner, June or her husband. I must warn you, it’s a daunting task to place your order since the options are overwhelmingly mouth-watering. This family owned business offers entrées such as Fried fish, Jerk Chicken, BBQ, Goat, Brown stew chicken, Short ribs, Oxtail, and equally delicious sides like, mac and cheese, collard greens, rice and beans and fried plantains. As if you weren’t excited enough already…Pearl’s offers breakfast!
This, I have yet to try, but trust me, it won’t take me long to dabble in the Chicken and Waffles entrée offered at a reasonable price of 6.95.
If you like eating at restaurants that feel more like you are sitting in the owner’s kitchen, I can assure you that you will love Pearl’s Pleasurable Eatery.
